West Texas Native American Association was formed in February of 1991 with four goals in mind. To provide fellowship to all NATIVE AMERICANS and interested non-Native Americans. To educate and raise public awareness regarding NATIVE AMERICANS in our area. To preserve NATIVE AMERICAN culture. To promote traditional ways of conservation.
Hosting a yearly NATIVE AMERICAN POW-WOW.
Providing true NATIVE AMERICAN hand made arts and crafts.
Teaching the public about NATIVE AMERICAN Heritage.
Participation in membership drives.
NATIVE AMERICANS are still involved in negotiations with the government.
We are a Non-Profit Corporation.

West Texas Native American Association was chartered by the State of Texas in March 1995, and is a non-profit corporation, and is an inter-tribal association. While most Native Americans in the group represent Southern tribes, some belong to Northern tribes as well. We also have non-Native members who attend because they are interested in Native culture and traditions.
